Sydney has made a lifelong commitment to serving Indigenous communities and ensuring that they are never taken advantage of — and that they always have the right people in their corner. His experience spans some of the most consequential institutions in Indigenous governance and economic development across the Prairies.

Vincent Jonasson

A proud member of Pimicikamak Cree Nation (Cross Lake Band of Indians) in Northern Manitoba, Vincent began his professional career in construction at an early age.

He is the founder and CEO of Iceland Concrete, a thriving First Nations business that has operated out of Saskatchewan since 2009. Vince is also dedicated to mentoring Indigenous youth and building Indigenous capacity within the trades — a commitment that shapes how both Iceland and the broader Neechi-Wâgan group hire and operate.

Director of Operations

Ian Atkinson

With a seasoned background in construction, Ian brings decades of extensive management and field experience to every project.

Ian has a detailed history working with First Nations on many joint ventures involving community and economic development. At Neechi-Wâgan, Ian oversees all operations relating to on-the-ground projects—coordinating crews, managing schedules and budgets, and holding the standards the partners set when work moves from the boardroom to the build site.
